A preliminary study of the site of a studio project - the design of a hotel at the corner of King and Charlotte Sts in Toronto. The intent of the study was to determine not only the feasibility of the site, but to adapt the design of the hotel to the site. Based analytical techniques from “The Social Logic of Space”, by Hillier and Hanson, the study allowed us to address the needs of the site through the design of our hotels.
In addition, we created visualizations and flythroughs of the analysis, in order to compare the actual site with our statistically-derived interpretation of the site.
