The stadium is the site of closed, or 'finite' games—a place whose experiences are defined by the end of the game, once winners and losers can be determined.

But what if a sports complex could be designed as an open field, where its closed games could be held in relation to one another to imply an infinite game beyond them? The stadium becomes the playground, where we can rekindle our imaginations to recognize the possibilities that we "know to be there but cannot apprehend at once." Through the suggestive ambiguity of its formal language, the aggressive juxtaposition of programme, and the movements of its users, a framework of limitless possibilities is generated. Games which once had an end are now stories that continue being told.
